Fashion needs not to be expensive. You do not need to be a business man nor have a land a high paying job to be fashionable. It has less to do with your impression on others and more to do with how you feel about yourself or rather how you want to feel about yourself. For men, simplicity is the name of the game and simplicity can come much cheaper than you think.
Do not try to be a fashionista!
Simple changes can make a huge impact on your style, you need not be all James bond for a classy style. For instance, matching you shoes with your belt. A simple brass buckle belt can be worn with both jeans and a dress pant. On the flip side, it is often a useful tip to remember that your socks should not match the shoe. White socks look good with black shoes and so the more the difference in contrast, the better.
When it comes to suits, fitting is important, too loose and you look like you are melting, too tight and your suit will seem like its crying for help. A useful tip here is to keep the upper most button of your shirt opened with a tie, your suit should look ironed, but you shouldn’t.
Wearing on a date:
Out on a date? A vital tip is to try a maximum of three colours, two is better regardless of what you wear. Too much colour or bright colours see more of a teenage thing, bright with dark is a great choice specially if bright is covered by a darker colour. A bright white shirt, a dark blue or black coat, a bright green shirt and a darker grey or brown on top works better instead of the other way around. Out tip, if you have do not intend to wear a jacket, do not go for a bright coloured shirt, unless its white.
Wear a watch:
In this age of technological advancement, you need to a watch for checking up on time, your phone does that for you, but a watch has its own place in the world of men’s fashion. Leather strips, better than chain strips, and a chain strip better than no watch at all. Though other accessories like a chain or rings should be kept to a minimum.
Lose the tees:
If you are out for a party, casual dressing is great, our tip is to lose the T-Shirt if you want to be taken seriously. T-shirts in social gatherings will make you look like a child. A nice collared shirt, with or without a jacket does great with blue or any dark colored jeans, but remember to un-tuck the shirt, you don’t want to look like you are at work.

A simple yet an important tip, when buying cloths, always consider what the cloth will look like after its been worn out. They look great on display, but after been used, consider how much beating could it take. Buy according to your body shape, cloths also look great on models, but models look great without cloths. You need to buy for your body, buy what suits you. Be trendy but do not over do it, a fashion designer design’s with a model image in mind, you may not be that model.
Befriend your tailor or take your friend along when you shop:
Last but not the least, be friends with your tailor or the whoever you buy your cloths from, their tips on your fashion taste are important, and never shop alone. A friend in need is a friend indeed and that friend will give you an honest opinion on how you look.
